The Day Zuzana and I Met

On March 16, 2019, I had several appointments with different art students from the local colleges. They were all very kind and talented. All artists have a skill I could never attempt to mimic. Each one had their own unique style that showed amazing craft and creativity. However, as I said previously, you have to feel a bond with whomever you choose to work with. I took my sister-in-law with me to my meetings because I was unsure of myself and needed another opinion when choosing who to work with.

When we met with Zuzana, there was a natural, easy warmth about her. I showed her some pages with text of the storyline and asked her to draw whatever came to HER mind. While Zuzana drew, my sister-in-law and I chatted. As soon as we saw Zuzana’s drawings, we both were in awe. It was as if she COULD read my mind. She quickly drew what would’ve normally taken several conversations to achieve. It was then that I knew we connected .
